Outlook 2002/2003 for SMTP Authentication

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Click on the Tools menu located at the top of the screen, scroll down & choose E-mail Accounts.
  3. Under the E-Mail heading, make sure the View or change existing e-mail accounts button is selected.
  4. Click the Next button.
  5. Choose the email account you want to configure SMTP authentication for from the list. All westriv.com email accounts will need to be configured to SMTP authentication.
  6. Click the Change button.
  7. Click the More Settings button located on the bottom right of your screen.
  8. Click on the Outgoing Server tab on the top of your screen.
  9. Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, if it is not already checked.
  10. Click the OK button.
  11. Click the Next button.
  12. Click the Finish button.
